SHORT DESCRIPTION: The Women in Law Program (WILpower) is an AED-implemented and US State Department, MEPI-funded professional development regional network in the Middle East. WILpower provides practical face-to-face and virtual training in law, leadership and organizational management for young female legal practitioners and law students. WILpower uses e-learning and social networking platforms to create virtual classrooms where young women can come together to share legal case work, work on developing their methodology of legal research and organize themselves to open their own law firms. Webinars led by legal experts throughout the region and internationally have provided lectures on criminal, commercial, labor and human rights law.
