NESA is a non-profit, voluntary association (headquartered in Athens, Greece) of more than 90 private, independent international schools in the Near East and South Asia, a region stretching from Libya, Greece and Egypt in the west, to Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in the east. The regular member schools follow an American/International college preparatory curriculum and typically serve students of more than four dozen nationalities. NESA's members are committed to offering students the best possible education by promoting professional and personal links among educators via professional development events and educational services for teachers and administrators in its member schools. NESA's Mission: To maximize student learning, NESA serves member schools by facilitating sustainable and systemic school improvement based on the best practices of American and international education.
